Who is behind this?
Hi, I’m Sebastian — founder and lead developer of MobiFlight, based Germany.
What started as a personal passion project for my own home cockpit has grown into a full open source ecosystem with an active global community. I’ve been building and refining MobiFlight for over a decade, and the shop is my way of making it easier for fellow cockpit builders to get the right hardware — sourced, tested and shipped from Germany.
But MobiFlight is far more than one person.
A dedicated team of volunteer developers contributes code, fixes bugs, and builds new features in their spare time — driven purely by passion for flight simulation and the joy of seeing others build amazing things. Alongside them, our volunteer moderators on Discord keep the community welcoming, answer hundreds of questions every week, and help newcomers take their first steps into cockpit building.
