Arduino Nano is the little sidekick of the bigger Mega.

- +

The Arduino Nano is the compact alternative to the Mega — smaller in size and with fewer pins, but more than capable for a huge range of cockpit projects. If you’re building a smaller panel, a dedicated submodule, or just don’t need the full pin count of the Mega, the Nano is the smart, space-saving choice.

Where the Nano truly shines is in combination with shift registers. By chaining input or output shift registers, you can dramatically expand the number of buttons, LEDs and switches connected to a single Nano — making it surprisingly powerful despite its small size. It’s a popular choice for button boxes, lighting panels, and modular builds where multiple small boards are better than one large one.

💡 Tip: Buying from the MobiFlight shop guarantees you get a board with genuine chips. Many low-cost Nano boards use counterfeit serial communication chips that require extra driver installation and can cause connectivity headaches.
